Five Vital Tips To Keep Your Email From Getting Deleted

You don’t want to spend a significant amount of time on an email just to wind up seeing it deleted without it ever being opened.  There are a few tricks experts have found that will help your email marketing letters stay out of the recycle bin and get opened.

Choose Your Words Carefully

It may seem like a bit of a no-brainer but did you know that there are words you can choose that will actually set your email up to get deleted that much quicker?  Take for instance the following: leading edge, passion, unique, partner, state-of-the-art, exciting and solution.  Try to steer away from these so people don’t toss your message.

Prioritize

Research your clients as much as you can and talk to their specific needs.  Tying your message into their specific needs can be a great way to add relevance.  Send out periodic surveys and so as much market analysis as you can so you know what you should be offering to your clients.

Create Awesome Subject Lines

Leave the sales hype to the junk box.  Instead fill your subject line with questions or phrases that will illustrate how much the message has to offer them.  Try things like: short questions, quick tips or interesting facts.

Offer Value

It may seem like an appropriate strategy to market, market, and market but in reality this will not offer your client any value, even if it’s consistently giving them coupons.  Your clients will be much better served if you take the time to send the emails that offer them tips, facts or interesting information they can use.

Consider Choosing A Campaign

It doesn’t hurt a bit to take the time to launch a series of emails.  If you’re sending out an ebook in several, short emails you’ll likely have many people signing up for your letters.  An easy bonus? You can design a whole year’s worth of emails and get them ready to send.
